          Avon Valley Bee Buddy

          Sunday 9  November 2025 - 2:00 pm - 3:00pm

          Tracey and Gez invite Bee Buddy members to visit their beautiful Julimar property, Tangelly Retreat, to see firsthand how a well-established landscape can support a large, non-migratory apiary.

          Tangelly Retreat is a true haven for bees, featuring native plantings established over 30 years ago. The property provides a reliable food source for the bees for around 11 months of the year, supporting their current 34 hives.

          Join a walking tour of the 10-acre property for an insightful look at the trees and plants that sustain a healthy bee population. Please note: To ensure the safety of all visitors and the bees, there will be no close-up visits to, or opening of any bee hives. You will observe how the bees work and forage across the land from a distance.

          Event Details

           * When: Sunday, November 9th from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

           * Where: Julimar (Address provided upon registration, will be sent day before event)

           * What to Bring:

             * Suitable protective clothing and footwear are mandatory as there are large numbers of bees actively working on the property.
