BEEKEEPING IN AMERICA
INTERNATIONAL GUEST SPEAKER | John Swan

Join us as we Zoom in with John Swan who will talk us through his US beekeeping activities and management throughout the year. We will hear about the different nectar sources, varroa, and some of the challenges he faced after moving from Texas to Missouri including the change in climate, nectar flows, and predators - bears and racoons!! For those who have ever listened to the Hive Jive Podcast you will know that John is a great entertainer and is full of passion and knowledge when it comes to bees.

John is the host of The Hive Jive Beekeeping Podcast where he helps educate people around the world about beekeeping, honeybees, pollinators, and their importance. John is a certified Master Beekeeper, former Vice President and Director of the Texas Beekeeper's Association, and is also a former President of the Travis County Beekeeper's Association in Texas.

Due to the 14 hour time difference in the USA our general discussion and Q&A session will be at the beginning of our meeting.
