Ambrosia Making Workshop with Lou Chalmer

WAAS is offering the opportunity to enrol in a 2-part workshop to learn about the art and science of making ambrosia.

When: 9 July and 10 September 2022

Time: 9:30am to 11:30am

Where: DPIRD Lecture Theatrette, Baron-Hay Court, Bentley

Cost: $80 per person

What can I expect?:

  • Two x two-hour sessions
  • Hands-on, practical workshop 
  • Learn the basic principles of fermentation and how they can be applied to honey
  • Plus ideas for ambrosia or mead recipes
  • We'll ferment our own batch of ambrosia, which we'll bottle in the second session
  • Take home a bottle of ambrosia

Lou Chalmer is a winemaker and agroecologist based in Western Australia. Her vision is a future in which people live in harmony with one another and nature, through collaboration, cooperation and appreciation of the natural environment. Yume Wines, Lou’s company, makes wines and ambrosias that tell a story of time and place in WA’s south-west.
